Introduction

Employee entity in Employer world...!!

This blog created by A A AHMED AJFAR, as part of assignment work for the subject People and Organization in the global context, in my MBA program. Selected the blog title as "Unleash Employee potential towards organizational success", to demonstrate, how to utilize the strength as well as the talent of employees in an organization to create a greater success in the business, the organization into.

Organizations can’t succeed without the hard work and dedication of their employees. That being the case, it’s critical that companies invest adequate resources in ensuring workers are well taken care of.

It is suffice to say that an Employer does not exist without Employee. The vice versa also true, without employer there cannot be employee entity. Nevertheless, besides the legal frame work in which both of them are bound together there so many other aspects which talks about both of them in various angles. It is also said that success of an organization is also depended very much on this relationship.

When an employer hires a new employee, he is not just bringing a new member of the workforce aboard, he is also starting a new relationship. Because employers and employees often work in close quarters, they necessarily develop relationships. Managing these relationships is vital to business success, as strong relationships can lead to greater employee happiness and even increased productivity. To reap these benefits, keep the dynamics of your employer-employee relationship in mind.

Industry to industry the technique which are practised to maintain the relationship may differ, yet there can be these points on a general aspect may followed in order to build the same.

  Respect

Even in a relaxed workplace, it is crucial to retain the traditional hierarchical structure and encourage awareness of this in your employees. As a leader, you need to be ready to give your team honest and frank feedback, whether this is about projects, employee appraisals, or constructive criticism.

Reliance

The employer relies on the employee to do his or her job well for the benefit of the business; the employee relies on the employer to treat them fairly and pay them equitably. When this mutual reliance becomes imbalanced or one-way, problems will inevitably occur.

The employer may start to feel that the employee’s efforts are no longer instrumental to the company and view them as disposable, while the employee may no longer value their job and start to become disengaged. When either of these things happens, it’s time for the employer to re-evaluate the employee’s role at the company – whether a new agreement can be reached, or whether it’s time to part ways

Transparent

This will create a healthy work environment. Employers can help create a forum of openness and honesty by asking employees candidly about their lives, families, and interests. Employees can, in return, contribute to this setting by being forthcoming about their lives outside of work.

Proper Communication

Employers can help to create a forum of openness and honesty by asking employees candidly about their lives, families, and interests. Employees can, in return, contribute to this setting by being forthcoming about their lives outside of work.

Extend a helping Hand (Nurturing, Well-Being)

Supporting employees even extends as far as helping them spread their wings and fly away to a new job when the time comes. Employers ought to be invested in their employees’ success as a whole and understand that they may not be at the company forever.

Employers have the option to help employees or to stifle them — but only the former will lead to trust, higher skill levels, more productivity and more motivation.

On the other hand, employees should be willing to show support for the company’s welfare and progress, which may mean making sacrifices from time to time. Whether it’s working late to fix an unexpected problem, or covering somebody else’s duties as well as their own, employees need to be ready to show that they are invested in the success of the company

Appreciation

When employees consistently deliver and receive little or no appreciation, it can become very easy for them to become disheartened, frustrated, and apathetic about their job, which destroys productivity.

A simple thank you is often enough (and this works both ways), but employers may wish to actively reward their employees for truly great work. They should use their intuition and knowledge of the person to decide what this might be.

In some cases a discreet gift might be enough, while others might relish recognition in the office. Some companies even host annual awards ceremonies where outstanding employees are given public recognition for their achievements.

  1. Hi Ajfar, this article is really interesting and I think this is very important to myself as a HR person. The facts you have mentioned here are really true. Respect, reliance, transparency, communication, appreciation, extending a helping hand these are really essential for good employer employee relationship. I think these facts can lead to fewer grievances. Because maintaining a strong employer and employee relationship can be the key to the ultimate success of an organization, the results are advantageous. If there is strong employer employee relationship in the organization, employees will be more productive, more efficient, create less conflict and will be more loyal.

  2. Hey ajfar,

Similarly, employers should exercise care to ensure that the relationship they develop with one employee isn’t notably closer than the relationships they develop with others, as this can lead to concerns regarding favoritism or similar issues of unfairness within the workplace. can be right?
